Brandon Stauft (cont.) - However, Brandon's undergraduate experience was highly varied and included work on prostate cancer, Lyme disease, antibiotic resistance in bacteria, and the population dynamics of soil microbes. He looks forward to studying virology and molecular biology at CSU and has already started on this path by recently completing a summer lab rotation with the Foy Lab.

Eventually, Brandon plans on pursuing a career in research, preferably at the CDC or for the NIH. He is passionate about discovery, and is never happier than when learning something new.

Brandon's favorite extracurricular activities include hiking, reading, and martial arts. He is especially excited about re-establishing a Capoeira (Brasilian acrobatic martial art) group in Fort Collins.
