The Pregnant Mare: Diagnosis, Complications and Dystocia Virtual Course
The goal of this virtual course is to provide veterinarians and technicians with an opportunity to learn about pregnancy in the mare, common conditions affecting the pregnant mare and complications of foaling. Course will include six (6 )hours of RACE approved CE hours.
Course Description: This virtual course on the pregnant mare will provide veterinarians with six (6) hours of RACE approved education. The virtual series will cover pregnancy diagnosis in the mare, issues encountered in early pregnancy, physiology of pregnancy in the mare, complications of pregnancy. As well as care of the pregnant mare, prediction of foaling, normal foaling and induction of labor and how to manage dystocia in the mare. Complications in the post-partum mare will also be discussed. The course will conclude with a short quiz regarding the topics covered in order to generate the certificate of completion.
