This in-depth virtual course will utilize current research developed to efficiently freeze equine sperm. The course will emphasize a quality end product and simplify the management of the straws for future use. Participants will have a better understanding of the entire freezing process, quality control, storage, mare management, and artificial insemination of mares using frozen sperm. Previous experience with semen collection and processing is desirable.
The goal of this virtual course is to provide veterinarians and technicians with an opportunity to learn about common and less common reproductive abnormalities of the mare as well as current diagnostic and therapeutic techniques that can be incorporated into their clinical practice. Course will include four (4) hours of RACE approved CE hours.
This course is designed to provide horse owners, broodmare managers and foaling attendants an overview of normal foaling, dystocia, routine care of the newborn foal and other important topics. The overall goal is to provide personnel that will be responsible for attending pregnant mares through the birth process with guidelines for normal events, when to call for additional on-farm help and when to call for veterinary assistance.
The goal of this virtual course is to provide veterinarians and technicians with an opportunity to learn about pregnancy in the mare, common conditions affecting the pregnant mare and complications of foaling. Course will include six (6 )hours of RACE approved CE hours.
