CVMBS Web Style Guide

The CVMBS (College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences) web site informs users of many aspects of the College. It should reflect a consistent image of CVMBS, with high quality pages that are uniform in style, consistent in content, appearance and purpose.

The guide incorporates the CSU Web Site Requirements, Guidelines, and User Responsibilities at http://graphicstandards.colostate.edu/index.asp?page=web_standards_guidelines and the Complete CSU Web Access Guidelines at http://www.colostate.edu/Depts/ATRC/Resources.htm. The Web Style Guide lists the standards CVMBS web designers use to achieve this uniformity.

Begin by choosing one of the two templates from the links located on the left-hand side of this page. The two templates are basically the same, but the Top Level Template has a left navigation area and the Minor Level Template does not. Then move on to the corresponding Conversion Steps to customize the chosen template with your content and check your work.

The CVMBS Web Style Guide is an evolving document.

• Created December 10, 2001at 640x480 pixel dimensions and millions of colors. Left-hand navigational text images and rollovers, alternate text page, top navigational image, templates, conversion steps and style sheet by Jill Lenz, Webmaster for Instructional Technology. Date stamp JavaScript contributed by John Chandler.
• April 2002 major overhaul of templates to 800x600 pixel dimensions with printable areas kept in mind, redesigned by Jill Lenz. Includes switching from the "Bobby Approved" logo to the "NCAM" logo per advice from Cath Kilcommons at the ATRC. The redesigned top navigational image with customized department/unit name was revised by Sallie Varner, Webmaster for Biomedical Sciences.
