Webmaster Committee Meeting Minutes

September 9, 2003

Members Present: Jamie Bethel, Tom Harmon, Charlie Kerlee, Jill Lenz, Erin Napier, Mary Pridgen, Sallie Varner, Linda Tarnoff

Old Business

1) CVMBS Homepage Redesign -- We looked at redesign samples for the main home page giving different versions of the Insight logo designed by Jill. Everyone agreed that the design which included the word "Magazine" was best but it was suggested that the gray outline should be added to set off the logo and delineate the boundaries of the link. In addition, it was decided that the caduceus background image needs to be made more crisp. It was also pointed out that the footer text should be gray, rather than green.

These final changes will be completed this week and we will schedule a time to present the redesigned page to the Executive Committee.

2) Follow-up -- Vethousing & Vetjobs websites have been corrected per suggestions from last month's meeting. It was noted that some of the text link colors are not perfect but we decided not to pursue it at this time.

New Business

Elections for committee chair and secretary for the coming year were held. Sallie Varner was elected to act as committee chair for a second year and Jill Lenz volunteered to serve as secretary, with Mary Pridgen acting as back-up secretary.
