New
Business
Presentation
Ms.
Lenz made a presentation of the work she has been doing on the redesign of the
College webpage. The new site has
borrowed a number of ideas from the University of Utah's website. Committee members liked the look of the
site. It was agreed that the Research
and Service Centers link needs to be shortened. Ms. Moth offered to look at the list and offer alternatives at
the next meeting.
It
was suggested that the one fixed photograph on the main page be removed and the
others have a border around them. Ms.
Lenz plans to put the College address in the white space next to the logo.
Committee
members discussed the need for a College logo that would represent the whole
College and not just veterinary medicine.
At this time, none exists.
Ms.
Lenz will present a potential format for the second-level pages at the next
meeting. She encouraged committee
members to keep providing ideas.
Photograph for Main Page
Committee
members agreed with Ms. Lenz that the photograph of the child and the cat would
be a good replacement for the eagle.
Teaching with Technology Conference
Committee
members were encouraged to explore the possibility of attending the Six Annual
CU Teaching with Technology Conference August 5-7, 2001, at the University of
Colorado at Boulder. The conference is
free. The website is:

The
meeting was adjourned at 9:45 a.m. The
next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, July 10, 2001, 9:00 a.m. in the Adams
Room, Physiology Building.
