The thesis-based MS in environmental health, with a specialization in toxicology, requires a thesis. Students may not directly enter the program as a first-year master's student. They may transfer into the program after developing a specific thesis topic with a research advisor. They may work on their thesis research project in their advisor’s lab or on a more individual basis.
The thesis-based master's program consists of a minimum of 30 semester credits as follows:
This degree requires successful completion of a thesis. Credits for thesis work are allocated according to time spent on research work and recorded through an appropriate course number. Credits earned for research work do not count toward the 18-credit departmental course requirement, but they are part of the 30-credit program of study.
