Windows can keep your computer up-to-date automatically with the latest security fixes and other important updates to keep your
computer current and your network secure. Automatic Updating has been
configured on your computer to deliver the most recent updates and fixes
directly to your computer to protect your computer
and keep it running smoothly. Windows Service Pack releases will
not be automatically downloaded to your computer. Service Pack
releases must be installed your CRG Technician.
How does it work?
Windows recognizes when you are connected to the network and uses your
network connection to search for downloads from the ACNS System Update
Server. An icon appears in the status area each time new updates are
available as shown:
You must double click the ‘globe’ icon in the status area to
install the updates.
Next….click the Install button on the Automatic
Updates dialog. Please don’t postpone the installation.

After the installation completes, Windows might prompt you
to restart your computer after certain updates are installed. Please
restart your computer when prompted; otherwise, your computer might not work
properly.
