DEPARTMENTAL ELECTIVES (12 credits) MIP Lab ♣
The 12 credits of electives must include:

3 courses from the Microbiology Electives List. At least 2 of these must be formal MIP-prefix laboratory courses or MIP-prefix courses with a laboratory component (note that MIP298V, MIP384V, MIP495V and MIP498V are NOT formal MB courses and do NOT satisfy the microbiology elective lab course requirements). ¤ See table of Microbiology Electives.

No more than 3 credits earned in MIP298V, MIP384V, MIP495V or MIP498V can be used as Departmental Electives. Additional credits in these courses are Free Electives.

If the above three Microbiology Electives do not total 12 credits, you may choose from approved departmental lists of Biology Electives, Microbiology Electives, or Other Science Electives.
