Transposon Mutant Library
Program Description:
In 2002, TARGET (Tuberculosis Animal Research and Gene Evaluation Taskforce) was formed in response to a request from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIH/NIAID) to enable the modeling of human tuberculosis in multiple animal species using defined protocols and testing defined mutants of M. tuberculosis. In addition to animal modeling activities, a library of intragenic transposon mutants has been created and characterized. Individual mutants generated by TARGET resources are sent to CSU for QC characterization, at which point they are sent to BEI Resources for distribution.
Transposon Mutants Available
Ordering Instructions:
Mutant requests can be placed through the BEI Resources website and require appropriate level 3 registration. Once a request is received the mutant(s) will be added to the queue for production and characterization. Please allow ample time for distribution.
