Intellectual Property Subcommittee (IPS)

The IPS will facilitate the translation of research discoveries to usable products, ensure the rapid utilization of RCE inventions to benefit public health, and will be responsible for the intellectual property issues, including patents, licensing, and data sharing issues involving consortium institutions, agencies, and companies.

The IPS is charged with providing guidance to RMRCE scientists concerning publication and confidentiality, patent protections and licensing of products, background technologies and information, assignment of IP rights, and royalty sharing, etc. The IPS is chaired by Todd Headley (CSU) , and is currently composed of 14 members representing technology transfer officers of the collaborating institutions, as well as IP personnel of industrial partners.
