If our program description appears to fit your goals, we suggest you send us a preliminary statement proposing an intended training program here. In addition, a visit to this department might be helpful in assessing mutual interests in graduate education.
Application to our graduate program involves submitting: (1) two original official transcripts from each college or university attended, (2) three letters of reference and completed reviewer evaluation forms from individuals able to evaluate your abilities, (3) GRE scores are recommended (copy of your original scores will be ok), (4) a statement of your interest in the graduate program and a summary of career goals. Your statement of interest should include information regarding your specific area of interest in Microbiology, Immunology and/or Pathology and potential areas of research in which you would like to work, (5) a completed application to the Graduate School (available at: http://www.colostate.edu/Depts/Grad/), (6) biographical sketch or resume and; (7) a TOEFL score (foreign applicants only)[Internet address: http://www.toefl.org/].
We do have international students pursuing graduate degrees in our department, however, these positions are limited since their availability depends on: (1) the capacity of the student's government to provide a living stipend, tuition, and fees; and (2) the availability of departmental faculty and research projects. Therefore, we are unable to accept applicants for graduate education without a specific faculty sponsor pre-identified.
