Research Interests
I have a long-standing interest in the pathogenesis, pathobiology, and pathology of infectious diseases of animals and humans, in particular, but not exclusively, viral infections.
My current research involvements are focused on the following areas:
- The pathogenesis of transplacental virus infection.
- Characterization of macaque rhadinoviruses and their role in lymphoma and mesenchymoproliferative lesions and lymphoma.
- Innate host responses to influenza A virus infection and correlates with pathological changes.
- The pathobiology of tuberculosis, tularemia and melioidosis.
