The minimum requirement for entry into the graduate program program is a Bachelor's level (B.S. or B.A.) degree in a biomedical field. Stipends are provided by Graduate teaching assistantships (GTAs) or Graduate Research assistantships (GRAs).
Application to our graduate program involves submitting: (1) two original official transcripts from each college or university attended, (2) three letters of reference and completed reviewer evaluation forms from individuals able to evaluate your abilities, (3) Graduate Examination Record (GRE) scores [Internet address: http://www.gre.org/]; applicants holding an M.S. or professional degree should submit their previous GRE scores, (4) a statement of your interest in the graduate program and a summary of career goals. Your statement of interest should include information regarding your specific area of interest in Microbiology, Immunology and/or Pathology and potential areas of research in which you would like to work, (5) a completed application to the Graduate School (Internet address: http://www.colostate.edu/Depts/Grad/) and; (6) a TOEFL score (foreign applicants only)[Internet address:http://www.toefl.org/].
Application deadlines: For applicants seeking entry into the M.S. or Ph.D. programs, your application (including all of the information listed above) should be submitted by October 1 (to be considered for spring admission) or January 1(to be considered for fall admission). In addition, we consider applications received throughout the year for unforeseen funding opportunities.
