Outreach Services

Many faculty members and students are involved with the community by bringing supplemental science and education into local schools.

Several MIP faculty members are involved with the Integrated Livestock Management Program (ILM) which provides creative solutions for the challenges that face the livestock industries through research, dissemination of valuable information, and training highly skilled personnel.

The Leprosy Research Support Group identifies new diagnostic tools every year for the detection of early signs of leprosy infection, diagnosis of sub-clinical disease and to monitor transmission of leprosy.

Rotation Schedules

Faculty and Veterinary Residents of MIP provide diagnostic service through the James L. Voss Veterinary Teaching Hospital, Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory. The Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory offers services in bacteriology, chemistry/toxicology, clinical pathology, endocrinology, immunology, parasitology, pathology, serology and virology.

Diagnostic Laboratory

The Veterinary Medical Center Diagnostic Laboratory  is accredited by the American Association of Veterinary Laboratory Diagnosticians and offers services in bacteriology, chemistry/toxicology, clinical pathology, endocrinology, immunology, parasitology, pathology, serology and virology.

Clinical Pathology Laboratory

The Veterinary Medical Center Clinical Pathology Laboratory offers testing on all species in the areas of Hematology, Chemistry, Immunohematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation, and Fluid Analysis.
