General Information

Mission

The mission of the Department of Microbiology, Immunology, and Pathology is to pursue excellence in biomedical research, undergraduate education, graduate education, veterinary medical education, diagnostic service, and outreach. The department faculty collectively should excel in basic and applied microbiology, pathology, immunology, parasitology, vector biology, molecular biology, and the integration of these disciplines through programs in infectious diseases. The impact of this expertise should bring new knowledge into the clinical setting in order to improve animal and human health.

Administration

The Administration consists of the Department Head, three Associate Department Heads, and 23 Staff Members.

People

The people of MIP are located at CSU's Main Campus, Foothills Campus, and the Diagnostic Laboratory, encompassing any of the facilities associated with the Department.
