AIDL faculty and researchers are internationally-recognized for their work on vector-borne diseases. Our current research focuses include arbovirology, vector genetics, transgenic technologies, insecticide resistance, novel control strategies for vector-borne diseases, immunology at the vector-host interface, and spatial modeling of vectors and vector-borne diseases.

Both national and international students regularly join our lab to receive long and short-term training in these areas; see the MIP Department MS/PhD Program website, and the Biology of Disease Vectors website, and the faculty teach regular courses in these areas; see the curriculum listing.
