Transposon Mutant Library

Program Description:
In 2002, TARGET (Tuberculosis Animal Research and Gene Evaluation Taskforce) was formed in response to a request from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIH/NIAID) to enable the modeling of human tuberculosis in multiple animal species using defined protocols and testing defined mutants of M. tuberculosis. In addition to animal modeling activities, a library of intragenic transposon mutants has been created and characterized. Individual mutants generated by TARGET resources are distributed through CSU as part of this NIH, NIAID contract. All mutants are provided streaked on an LJ slant.

Transposon Mutants Available

Ordering Instructions:
Detailed instructions are provided and must be followed carefully to obtain mutants. Not more than 10 mutants can be requested by an individual PI in a three month period. If more than 10 mutants are requested, a detailed letter of justification must be provided. Prior to delivery most mutants must be grown from a frozen stock and QC performed, therefore delivery may be significantly delayed even after your request is processed.
