The Veterinary Teaching Hospital at Colorado State University hosted its annual Open House on Friday and Saturday, April 9 and 10, giving the public a chance to see the behind-the-scenes world of veterinary medicine. The event focused particularly on engaging children with special activities like mock “surgeries,” goat milking, and a petting zoo with baby animals. The Open House included lectures, demonstrations, tours through the hospital and more than 15 display booths filled with animal information. The Open House was coordinated and run by students in the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences’ Professional Veterinary Medical Program. |
