If you are looking to support a good cause, but want to do a little something to spoil yourself (and your family or five of your closest friends), consider attending the Green & Gold Gala, Denver’s premier celebration of Colorado State University, and participating in the silent auction. The gala has returned to the springtime, complete with new surprises and new ways to celebrate CSU.
This year’s silent auction features one item in particular sure to garner some interest -- a week at a luxury home in Zihuatanejo, Mexico (pictured below). Escape your worldly cares with a one-week vacation and help support the important work at the Animal Cancer Center (and the Alumni Association) with your winning bid.
Generously donated by Jay Mesinger, a client of the Animal Cancer Center, you’ll enjoy your week in a villa complete with three bedrooms and three baths in a secluded, security-protected community. The house features a private pool and staff, an unobstructed view of the ocean, 10 minutes from the airport, and a five minute walk to the beach. Other amenities include full communications, a purified water system, beautiful weather, and breathtaking views. Minimum bid on the home is $6,000.
The Green and Gold Gala will be held Saturday, May 22, 6 p.m., in the Marriott City Center, 1701 California Street, Denver. The cost is $85 per person, Alumni Association members; and $100 per person, non-members. Black tie is preferred. Register online or call (970) 491-6533 or (800) 286-2586.
