Labs to Nations: CSU Ventures and Cancer Research

Centrifuge at the Animal Cancer CenterThe Colorado State University Alumni Association (CSUAA) is sponsoring a luncheon to explore “Labs to Nations: CSU Ventures and Cancer Research.” Featured speakers are Mark Wdowik, President and CEO, CSU Management Corporation; and Dr. Douglas Thamm, Assistant Professor in the Department of Clinical Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.

Dr. Thamm will speak about the Animal Cancer Center, CSU’s new Cancer Supercluster, and examples of discoveries regarding cancer study and treatment. Mr. Wdowik will speak about CSU Ventures and the new seed investment fund for equity and debt investments in CSU start-ups and research partners, which help bring CSU research innovations from the laboratory to the marketplace.

The luncheon takes place on Thursday, Sept. 4, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m., at the Hilton Hotel, 425 W. Prospect, Fort Collins. The cost is $25 for CSUAA members and $30 for non-members. Please register online at: www.CSUAlum.com/spotlightoncsu.
