At the Diagnostic Medicine Center, exterior steel is nearing completion with insulation being applied and exterior cladding to come. The mechanical units are in place and the interior duct work and framing are progressing. The block walls for the necropsy area are under construction, and workers are insulating the breezeway walls. Currently, contractors are estimating completion of the project in June 2009.
Also on the South Campus, the SCAVMA Pet Food Distribution Building, located near the old dairy barn, is complete and the pet food operation will be moving to the new location in the next few weeks. The building is located near the northeast corner of the old Dairy Barn. Additionally, at the Equine Orthopaedic Center, fencing and lighting will be installed for existing paddocks.
