College Announces 100-Year Anniversary Scholarship

At the 68th Annual Conference for Veterinarians, the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences announced the establishment of a new scholarship fund – Imagine the Possibilities…100-Year Anniversary Scholarship. The scholarship supports the education of talented and deserving students by providing valuable tuition assistance.

“When looking at ways to commemorate the College’s 100-year anniversary, we imagined that one of the best tributes to the history of the College and to its many graduates, was to ensure access to education for the next generation through the creation of a scholarship fund,” said Dr. Lance Perryman, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. “This fund will provide a source of funding for deserving students during our centennial year. We hope that all of our graduates will look upon this as an opportunity to support those who honor them by following in their footsteps.”

To apply for the scholarships, students must be in need of financial aid, have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and write an essay on the topic Imagine the Possibilities of the Next 100 Years.  Department heads will recommend two students from each department with final selection made by the CVMBS scholarship and awards committee. Depending on funding, the College plans to award four one-time cash scholarships.
