Celebrate Undergraduate Research and Creativity Brings Out Best in Students
Throughout the year, Colorado State University recognizes and honors the achievements of students in the areas of research and creativity. Students are invited to participate in a variety of events that will provide them an opportunity to showcase what they have learned through their research and creative activities. In the 2005-2006 school year, events culminated in the CURC Showcase. The showcase event, held April 18 in the Lory Student Center, featured outstanding performers and award winners from all disciplines.
The awards ceremony was held April 19 in the Chemistry Building with a keynote address given by Dr. John S. Werner from the University of California - Davis. Dr. Werner is a Professor in the Department of Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior and the Jules and Doris Stein Professor of Ophthalmology. He is internationally recognized for his research in human vision and presented a talk that reflected his interest in color vision in art and science, "Aging Through the Eyes of Monet."
The College of Biomedical Sciences and Veterinary Medicine is proud to present the following students whose work was recognized at the CURC Showcase (faculty advisor name follows student name):
