University UpdateCSU Announces New Alumni CollegeColorado State University's Division of Continuing Education has recently launched, in partnership with the Alumni Association, a new programming initiative, called The Alumni College, in Denver, Fort Collins and worldwide via the Web. The Alumni College provides a way for alumni, their family and friends to experience Colorado State University in a whole new way. According to Alumni College Director Jean Morgenweck, "The Alumni College will allow alumni and friends to learn new subjects, network and connect with both old and new friends, and move ahead with many life agendas including career, family or personal enrichment." The Alumni College, on the Web at www.learn.colostate.edu/alumnicollege, has a broad educational mission, and was created in response to alumni needs and requests. Alumni College programs will emphasize programming for people in different life stages. "People in different life stages have different needs," Morgenweck said. "A 30-year-old is probably building a professional network, while a 55-year old may be planning for retirement and helping parents move into senior care housing." Courses offered through the Alumni College are cash-funded as part of Continuing Education. |
