College Holds Administrative Staff Retreat

CVMBS administrative staff gathered together May 17 at the Hilton Hotel in Fort Collins for a day-long retreat focused primarily on incorporating "best practices" into human resource and financial procedures. The day included breakfast and lunch, and was capped in the afternoon with an inspirational speaker.

"This ties with our strategic plan of doing the best job that we can in all of our endeavors," said Dr. Lance Perryman, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. "We value the contributions of our state classified employees and this retreat was a wonderful opportunity to generate ideas, share what works, and enhance services at our College."

During the retreat, Joe Schwarz, a coordinator with the Office of the Dean, was honored with an award for outstanding service.

Organizers of the retreat included Thomas Hadley, Liz Turney, Janice Brown, Mary Ann Valdez and Maggie Glick. Thanks to all who worked hard to make the retreat an enjoyable event and a productive day.
