MIP Welcomes New Staff Member
 Fumihiko Sagawa joined the Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Pathology on March 15 as a Research Associate I in the laboratory of Dr. Herbert Schweizer, under the supervision of Dr. RoxAnn Karkhoff-Schweizer. His primary responsibilities revolve around research related to efflux pump systems in Pseudomonas aeruginosa and related organisms.
Sagawa graduated magna cum laude from Colorado State University in 2005 with a degree in microbiology, He was the outstanding student for MIP. Sagawa returned to Japan for a visit following graduation, concerned about his Japanese language skills. His father confirmed that his Japanese skills were negatively influenced by his time spent in the United States. We welcome Fumihiko Sagawa and wish him the best of luck in all his endeavors.
