CSU Administrative Reorganization Focuses on University’s Academic CorePresident Larry Penley has announced a reorganization at the administrative level designed to enhance operations and help the University achieve the vision as presented by Dr. Penley in his Inaugural Address this spring. The reorganization places CSU’s academic core at the center of the University, taking advantage of the University's research maturity, centralizing admissions activity in ways that further strengthen the student body, and maintaining a strong focus on diversity. Key reorganization decisions are: 1. The position of Senior Vice President at Colorado State has been created to achieve stronger integration of academic and student affairs. Dr. Tony Frank has agreed to serve in this position while continuing to support CSU's growing research capacity. 2. The title of Vice President for Student Affairs is being expanded to Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Admissions. This position will continue to be filled by Dr. Linda Kuk. Increasing non-resident enrollment, recruiting a more diverse and academically prepared student body and improving CSU graduation rates are critical priorities. 3. In light of recent Supreme Court decisions and the impact of the Michigan decision, the Director of the Office of Equal Opportunity, Dana Hiatt, will report directly to Dr. Penley with a dotted line report to John Lincoln, Senior Advisor to the President, to help ensure CSU's strong commitment to diversity. |
