  • In the wake of public health concerns over recently discovered bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE or "mad cow disease) in a U.S. cow, Colorado State University has created an information Web site that provides current BSE information. The site, located at www.colostate.edu (click on BSE News and Information) will be continually updated and highlights the University's wide-ranging experience with prion-related diseases as well as providing links to other local and national BSE-related sites. The BSE Web site includes: BSE facts: resources for agricultural producers and consumers; tip sheets and press releases; a guide highlighting University faculty, centers and research projects related to BSE and other transmissible spongiform encephalopathy, or TSE, diseases.
