Programs at CVMBS Awarded Initiative Grants
The departments of Biomedical Sciences, and Microbiology, Immunology
and Pathology, recently received $4 million in grant money from the University's
new Infectious Diseases Initiative. The funding will provide support for
additional faculty and new equipment purchases to enhance programs in
infectious diseases.
The Infectious Diseases Initiative is a $10 million endeavor to further
develop university programs that have national and international prominence.
The initiative, coordinated through the Office of the Vice President for
Research and Information Technology, is calling for additional proposals
to advance the University's work in infectious diseases.
