New Faculty

The Department of Clinical Sciences welcomes two new faculty members. Dr. Vicki Campbell joined the Critical Care Service on Aug. 1, and Dr. Matt Johnston will join the Zoological Medicine Service on Nov. 1.

Dr. Campbell comes to the Department of Clinical Sciences from the University of Pennsylvania Veterinary Hospital where she was a Post Doctoral Fellow and resident in Small Animal Emergency, Critical Care, and Anesthesia. Dr. Campbell received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Oregon and her DVM from Kansas State University College of Medicine where she graduated Magna cum laude. She completed postgraduate training at the University of Pennsylvania Veterinary Hospital and the University of Minnesota's Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Dr. Campbell is board eligible with the American College of Veterinary Anesthesiologists and the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Johnston comes to the Department from the University of Pennsylvania where he was a staff veterinarian in Special Species Medicine. Dr. Johnston is a graduate of John Carroll University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in biology, and of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine where he received his DVM. He also completed a residency in Special Species Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and a Small Animal Medicine and Surgery Rotating Internship at the University of Georgia. Dr. Johnston is a consultant to the Veterinary Information Network and a member of the Association of Avian Veterinarians, Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians, and the AVMA.
