NEW: CSU Veterinary Career Fair

General Information: CSU has a database where you can advertise your job at no cost. Alumni as well as upcoming graduates use the database. Employers have access to senior resumes after posting a job in our system. Another excellent way to form relationships with our students is to become part of our preceptorship/externship program. You determine the level of student and time preferences as you create your posting with us. All recruiting events mentioned below are coordinated by Ruth White, PVM Career Specialist. Database Posting Methods:

• Post job or preceptorship directly into CSU's database - Postings are free. Jobs will be online for 4 months and preceptorships are updated each summer. Note: This method is preferred because you can later edit your posting. Also, after your position has been reviewed you will be able to view senior resumes posted by CSU students. You are then able to call or e-mail them directly.

• E-mail job or preceptorship advertisement

• Interested in interviewing on campus? Ruth White coordinates all campus interviews. Please notify her several weeks in advance of your visit to allow for optimum student scheduling. Special event interview scheduling:
  

  CSU Annual conference: January 5-7, 2008. Attend CSU's Annual Conference and schedule interviews while attending the conference.

  NEW FOR 2008 Participate in our Veterinary Career Fair on January 31 st and schedule interviews the day before or after the fair.
  

• Do we host a Career Fair for veterinary employers? Yes, our next Veterinary Career Fair will be on Thursday, January 31, 2008 from 4:00-7:00pm.

• Interested in salary information? Several resources are highly recommended as you research current salary statistics. www.avma.org and www.aahanet.org (purchase fourth edition of Compensation and Benefits). Ruth White also gathers regional information on our recent graduates.
