The College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (CVMBS) and the Colorado School of Public Health (CSPH) have created a combined 5-year program of study that can result in earning both the Masters of Public Health (MPH) degree and the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree.
After successfully completing the first year of the MPH Program, students will be granted admission to the first year of the DVM Program and will be expected to complete the remaining course requirements of the MPH Program concurrently with the first two years of the DVM Program. Students enrolling for fall 2011, will be admitted to the newly formed Colorado School of Public Health. For more information about the Colorado School of Public Health, see http://publichealth.ucdenver.edu.
Note: Completion of a bachelor's degree is required to begin the MPH Program. You may apply for admission to the MPH/DVM combined program prior to receiving your undergraduate degree, but you must have been awarded the bachelor's degree prior to matriculation in the fall. Exceptions to this policy are infrequently granted.
To pursue admission to this program, you must apply to the DVM Program and complete the MPH/DVM section of the Colorado Supplemental Application.
