Vomiting
| Possible Causes:
Poisoning, motion sickness, overeating, spoiled food, fear, metabolic diseases,
brain injury, parasites, trauma |
Action Steps:
- Examine the vomitus for blood or foreign material(s)
- If poisoning is suspected, bring along the original packaging to the
veterinarian
- Gently palpate the abdomen for signs of pain or discomfort
- Withhold all food and water until you have consulted with a veterinarian
- Abdominal pain, an enlarged abdomen, and unproductive vomiting are serious
signs. Call your veterinarian immediately
