Each session will have a keynote speaker that has made a significant contribution to the field in either the human or animal oncology world.

State of the art lectures and shorter poster presentations will also be presented. The two day program will provide 16 hours of CE credit.

Sessions include:

Osteosarcoma, Thursday morning

Cancer Management, Thursday afternoon

Gamma vs. Surgery, Friday morning

Targeted Cancer Therapy, Friday afternoon

Dr. Stephen Withrow, a CSU Distinguished Professor, is retiring after 34 years of service at Colorado State University. Steve has been a mentor and friend to many of us in the veterinary oncology field. His contributions to our understanding of cancer in humans and pets, promotion of the spontaneous cancer translational animal model, his understanding and embracing of the multidisciplinary approach to cancer management, focus of basic and clinical research and compassion and care for patients made him a pioneer in the field.

A special social event will be held on Saturday May 26, 2012 to honor Dr. Stephen Withrow’s remarkable career and contributions to veterinary (and human) oncology. VSSO Meeting Schedule

Pre-registration is required for all veterinary continuing education conferences. Courses are subject to cancellation when registration is inadequate to cover costs of the program. Registration at least six weeks before the course will help prevent cancellation. Course fee is payable to Colorado State University. Fee includes proceedings, materials, supplies, refreshments and in some cases, lunch. Please see course schedules for more information.

Registration fees are fully refundable until 60 days prior to the course, 50% refundable between 60 and 30 days prior to the course and non-refundable after 30 days prior to the course. Fees will be refunded 100% at any date if vacated spot can be filled.
