Courses > Endoscopy >Advanced Surgical Laparoscopy & ThoracoscopyThis course is designed for the clinician experienced in basic diagnostic laparoscopy or those that have taken the earlier Introductory Laparoscopy course and would like to begin exploring the world of minimally invasive surgery. The morning lectures will review specialized surgical equipment, anesthesia considerations and the laparoscopic and thoracoscopic techniques that will be performed in the laboratory. Operative techniques in the laboratory will include abdominal and thoracic exploration, ovariohysterectomy, adrenalectomy, gastropexy, laparoscopic-assisted cystoscopy, feeding tube placement, pericardial window and partial lung lobectomy. The laboratory is limited in size to three people per dog. Technicians can attend lectures and observe in the lab.

REGISTRATION & CANCELLATION INFORMATIONPre-registration is required for all veterinary continuing education conferences. Courses are subject to cancellation when registration is inadequate to cover costs of the program. Registration at least six weeks before the course will help prevent cancellation. Course fee is payable to Colorado State University. Fee includes proceedings, materials, supplies, refreshments and in some cases, lunch. Please see course schedules for more information. CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDSRegistration fees are fully refundable until 60 days prior to the course, 50% refundable between 60 and 30 days prior to the course and non-refundable after 30 days prior to the course. Fees will be refunded 100% at any date if vacated spot can be filled.
