Why CSU? When I was little, I dreamed of coming here for vet school. I'm no longer pre-vet but I still love how I can go anywhere on campus and feel like I am where I am supposed to be. The campus in fall is absolutely gorgeous and everyone is super friendly!
Favorite Class: My favorite class so far has been Genetics because it was more in depth than many of the other classes I've taken. Professor Stargell always tried to keep things interesting and would randomly throw in information about how to keep yourself healthy with vitamins and such (she liked talking about prenatal health as well). It was nice to be able to learn about the full context of things. For example, did you know that folic acid is important during the first few days of embryonic development and that a lack of it can lead to a mutated gene that can cause spina bifida?
Career Plans: Right now, I'd like to pursue a career in pharmaceuticals.
Campus Activities, Organizations, and Programs:
Hobbies: Horseback riding
Best Studying Tip: Find something that you enjoy doing or that is easy for you, and incorporate that into your studying. For example, I'm a visual learner so I sketch the figures in the book. It is fun to do and also helps me keep all of the important figures in one place.
