Why CSU? I chose to come to CSU because of the great advising and vet programs here, but I also loved the homey, small town feel of Fort Collins. The major in Biomedical Sciences turned out to be a GREAT unexpected bonus!!

Favorite Class: My favorite class at CSU (thus far!) is Domestic Animal Gross Anatomy with Mark Frasier. I LOVE anatomy and I learned so much about what I love - animals and the differences and similarities between them!

Career Plans: As you might have guessed, my career plans are to be a small animal veterinarian. I would love to spend several years practicing in Latin or South America and learn all I can about the culture and people there.

Campus Activities, Organizations, and Programs:

• Biomedical Student Association (Community Volunteer Coordinator, 2006-07)
• Pre-Vet Club
• Hughes Undergraduate Research Scholars Program -- I work in Dr. Garrity's lab helping her research zebra fish development.

Hobbies: Taking my dog to the park, spending time with my roommates, reading, volunteering at Denkai Animal Sanctuary, and writing
