Name: Meghan Davidson
Class Year: 2009
Hometown: Monument, CO
Major: Biomedical Sciences
Why CSU? I have always wanted to be a veterinarian, and what more could I ask for than to complete my undergraduate major at the institution where one of the best veterinary medical programs is located! Plus I could never leave the Colorado mountains.
Favorite Class: My favorite class is Domestic Animal Gross Anatomy. To be able to get hands on experience is the most exciting part because here is where you are able to use all your senses (yes including smell) to better understand the animals. Not to mention Dr. Mark Frasier’s way of lecturing is organized, productive, and not completely over your head.
Career Plans: I hope to become a small animal veterinarian working in a town in or near the mountains. I am also interested in buying several acres of land and turning it into a no-kill shelter for dogs in which they don’t have to live the rest of their lives out in a kennel, but rather a foster-like home environment.
Campus Activities, Organizations, and Programs:
Hobbies: Swimming, running, biking, anything outdoors or in the water, crafts
Best Studying Tip: First try to solve the problem by yourself, and then ask someone else. If this fails then, go to your professor. The important thing is to try to do it alone first. Also if you find yourself reading the material but not knowing or remembering what you have read, it's time to take a break. Stay relaxed and try not to get too stressed.
