The Department sponsors numerous scientific and social activities which enhance the graduate experience. One great way to get involved and hone your leadership skills is by joining the Graduate Student Association (GSA). All graduate students are welcome to join, though it tends to attract those students who take a very active role in their graduate education. The GSA organizes the annual Biomedical Sciences Research Retreat and promotes activities to build a sense of community and camaraderie among the graduate students. This is especially important because our department is split between two physically separate campuses.
