1. Under conditions of dietary fatty acid manipulation in the rat:

• Development of lipidomic strategies to study changes in cardiomyocyte and coronary microvascualar endothelial cell eicosanoid synthesis and oxidation
• Measurement of associated functional changes in vivo using echocardiography

2. Optimization of the dietary obese rodent model to study the role of the visceral adipose in obesity cardiomyopathy

3. Investigation of lipid-mediated cardiac and endothelial dysfunction in veterinary patients
