The B.W. Pickett Equine Teaching and Research Center is located on the Foothills Campus. Serving as hub of the Equine Sciences Program at Colorado State, the ETRC is located 2 miles west of main campus, adjacent to the foothills. This $5.2 million facility includes a football field-sized indoor arena that provides seating for 2,000 spectators, concession stands and ticket booths, faculty offices, a classroom complex including a multimedia classroom, outdoor arena, round pens, sheds and paddocks. Classes for the undergraduate program in Equine Sciences are held here, as well as riding camps, short courses, rodeos and horse shows, and community events.
