Background of the Program

Colorado State University's Equine Reproduction Short Courses began in 1971 with one artificial insemination course and four participants. The series now has an annual attendance of more than 300 from all over the world. One distinguishing feature of these courses is a blending of time spent in lecture with time spent at the Equine Reproduction Laboratory applying new knowledge through active participation or demonstration. Approximately one-half of participants' time is spent in laboratory sessions.

Enrollment

Short course instruction at the ERLTo ensure comprehensive, in-depth instruction to participants, course size is limited and course registrants are accepted on a first-come basis. The entire fee must accompany the registration form. Please do not make travel arrangements until you receive written confirmation. The registration fee includes extensive lecture and laboratory sessions, laboratory supplies, welcoming reception, lunches and breaks, lecture notes, reference literature, transportation to and from laboratory sessions and a certificate of completion.

Courses are subject to cancellation when registration is inadequate to cover costs of the program. Registration at least six weeks before the course will help prevent cancellation. If minimum registration is not reached six weeks prior to the scheduled date of the course, it will be cancelled.
