Private donations have funded research resulting in:
- New techniques for cryopreservation of sperm, eggs and embryos
- New techniques for recovery and transfer of embryos
- New techniques for oocyte collection and transfer
- New techniques for intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI)
What new research might be funded?
- Determination of the effects of mare age on the oocyte
- Determination of the mechanism of maternal recognition of pregnancy
- Development of novel techniques for diagnosis of ovarian or uterine abnormalities
- Development of techniques to safely biopsy an embryo
- Development of techniques for genetic testing of embryos
- Development of techniques for shipping oocytes
Gifts also may be used for:
- Care and maintenance of research horses
- Undergraduate and graduate student scholarships
- Buildings and facilities
- Equipment
