Biography
Dr. Carnevale received her Bachelor's, Master's and veterinary degrees from Colorado State University. She earned her PhD from the University of Wisconsin under Dr. O.J. Ginther. Dr. Carnevale joined the faculty at Colorado State University in 1998.
Dr. Carnevale is the coordinator of the Assisted Reproduction Service at the Equine Reproduction Laboratory and has been conducting ground-breaking research in the areas of oocyte transfer and intracytoplasmic sperm injection. She is especially interested in geriatric mares and how follicular development and oocyte viability is affected by the aging process. Her clinical research has also resulted in the birth of live foals after retrieving oocytes from ovarian follicles of recently deceased mares.
