APHI outreach activities within the US and the international arenas are directed to practicing animal health professionals.

The Institute does not provide coursework for academic credit at Colorado State University. Additional information for individuals interested in graduate education opportunites is provided in the "Courses & degree programs at CSU" link to the right.

Workshops & Training Programs

Faculty and staff collaborate with professionals to co-sponsor, organize and provide workshops and training programs for practicing veterinarians and animal health workers. APHI facilitated three recent workshops in conjunction with USDA APHIS:

CSU Signs IMOU with Thailand's Department of Livestock Development

On January 30, 2013 Colorado State University and Thailand’s Department of Livestock Development (DLD) signed an International Memorandum of Understanding (IMOU) in Bangkok, Thailand. This agreement extends the current unofficial collaboration between the DLD and CSU’s Animal Population Health Institute (CSU APHI) in the field of animal health programs. Full article>

APHI Biostatistician Dr. Rao Provides Training for Field Veterinarians in South Asian Countries

Dr. Sangeeta Rao, a biostatistician and an epidemiologist from the Animal Population Health Institute (APHI) at Colorado State University (CSU) serves as an external subject expert to provide epidemiology and biostatistics expertise in the regional Field Epidemiology Training Program for Veterinarians (FETPV) from SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation) member countries.
