Each month during the school year, we sponsor a meeting, wet lab, or field trip focused on feline medicine. Past events have included seminars on nutrition, vaccination protocol, shelter medicine, and more. Wetlabs have covered topics from handling fractious cats to emergency procedures. Field trips to local practices and shelters are also popular events.
Club meetings are open to all interested parties, but food is served only to dues paying members. Wetlabs and field trips are limited to dues-paying members.
Please visit our facebook page for more information on upcoming meetings.
Cat Care Conference
Each spring, CSU AAFP organizes a one day Cat Care Conference, featuring educational presentations by cat care experts for community cat lovers.
Our 2018 Cat Care Conference is scheduled for Saturday, March 31st at the Colorado State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital in the Animal Cancer Center Room 120. Stay tuned for this year's lecture schedule. Last year lectures included the following:
- — Common Feline Emergencies
- — Feline Respiratory Disease
- — Feline Aging Issues
- — Optimizing the Feline Home
The conference is free and open to the public, and lunch will be provided. However, we do encourage that attendees bring some cash to purchase merchandise, raffle tickes, and to make monetary donations to any of the three wonderful feline-focused shelter organizations that will also be in attendance.
CSU AAFP T-shirts may be pre-ordered at registration for $15 each, which may be paid by cash, check, or card at conference check-in. Shirts purchased the day of the conference will cost $20, and sizes will be available on a first come, first serve basis.
