The student's primary commitment will be to participate in research in a laboratory of a college faculty member. Faculty who are potential mentors and have participated in the program in the past, are listed at the following website: http://www.cvmbs.colostate.edu/Merck-MerialSummerResearchProgram/ResearchAreas.htm; However, not all of these potential mentors may have a position available in their laboratory in the summer of 2008. In addition to the laboratory commitment, students will be expected to participate in a weekly seminar series and present a seminar based on their research experience. The 11 week program will begin on May 19, 2008. Students will receive a stipend of $4,250 for the program.
