BioMARC, the Regional Training Center for Product Translation, is offering an interactive course that will provide attendees an overview of the drug/biologic approval process, and the regulations that govern Investigational New Drug studies.
The workshop is on Wednesday, Oct. 7, from 5-9 p.m., following a Colorado BioScience Association networking event from 3-5 p.m., at the Medical Center of the Rockies, Main Conference Room. The workshop is sponsored by a grant from the Workforce Innovation in Regional Economic Development, and by the Product Development and Manufacturing Core of the Rocky Mountain Regional Center of Excellence at Colorado State University.
Topics will target clinical trial design and selection of contract research organizations. Instructors are Dr. Judy Stone, Infectious Disease Clinical Trial specialist and author of “Conducting Clinical Research - Practical Guide for Physicians, Nurses, Study Coordinators, and Investigators;” Liz Ortolano, Clinical Team Manager, PRA International; and Dr. Julia Barrett, Senior Clinical Consultants, Biologics Consulting Group, Inc.
The workshop is designed for academic professionals and clinicians
interested in product translation and clinical trial design; industry
professionals seeking to advance their understanding of clinical trial
design; and students interested in broadening their knowledge base and/or
employment opportunities in biomedical sciences.
The cost of the workshop is $45 for students, $75 for faculty members, and
$100 for industry professionals. The workshop fee includes a dinner buffet.
