Veterinary Teaching Hospital Hosts Annual Open HouseThe James L. Voss Veterinary Teaching Hospital at Colorado State University will host its annual Open House on Friday and Saturday, April 4th and 5th, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., with the last tour starting at 3:15 p.m.
The Open House includes lectures, demonstrations, tours through the hospital and more than 15 display booths filled with animal information. The Open House is coordinated and run by students in the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences’ Professional Veterinary Medical Program. Hospital tours run throughout the day and are usually 30-45 minutes. Large groups are encouraged to make reservations by calling (970) 491-7053. Group reservations are available for Friday only.

1 p.m. -- "Pet Hospice...A Philosophy of Caring," with Katie Kennedy, PVM 2009, and Michealle Hobler, PVM 2010
10 a.m. -- How to do a proper saddle fitting for your horse, with Dr. Kevin Haussler
2 p.m. -- Fort Collins Police K-9 Unit
10 a.m. -- Bird Show by the Northern Colorado Bird Center
2 p.m. -- How to Encourage Your Dogs to Behave the Way You Want Them To, with Dr. Jennie Willis Jamtgaard
All Open House events are free and open to the public. Please do not bring your own animals to this event. It is a biosecurity risk and you will not be permitted on tours or around the breezeway. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping everyone (and every animal) safe and healthy!
